Dissemination actions May-June 2016
In May and June 2016, SORT was heard in a number of events hosted under the framework of the project «Επιχειρώ Κοινωνικά» (I Endeavor Socially) by the Municipality of Athens. A team of experts from The Athens Development and Destination Management Agency (ADDMA) evaluated SORT and concluded that it is a mature and valid to invest on concept; SORT was also selected to take part in the Investment Readiness Program of the same company.
On 31 May, Mentores presented the aims and expected output of the project at an event where keynote speaker was Mr. John Montague, Managing Director of Big Issue Invest. A number of topics where discussed, including the potential of developing business bonds with other social enterprises.
On 10-11 June at the festival of Social Entrepreneurship “Let’s Be Social Athens”, the concept of reciprocal tourism for the elderly and the activities of SORT were presented and discussed.
On 27 June, SORT was presented to the British Council of Greece. The project was discussed in the presence of a Council’s expert, in an attempt to identify the means for measuring the social impact that would help SORT and similar projects attract additional funding in the future.
